About this program

Aalto University’s Chemistry and Materials Science Master of Science (Technology) combines chemistry and materials science. Students work with laboratory methods, molecular modelling and materials characterisation. The programme covers topics from atomic layer deposition to batteries and nanomaterials.

The degree is 120 ECTS credits and takes two years. The first year covers the compulsory and specialisation courses. The second year is for elective studies and the Master’s thesis. Students can choose elective courses from Aalto University and from other universities in Finland and abroad.
