About this program

Tampere University’s two-year Master’s Programme in Environmental Engineering and circular economy. You study environmental technologies, environmental problems and sustainability. The programme covers designing and modelling environmental technologies and using different approaches to evaluate and advance sustainability.

The studies are arranged in three blocks: common joint studies, major studies and free choice studies. Common core studies support your thesis work. Major studies include compulsory and complementary courses, with specialisation in water technologies or circular economy. You may also choose up to 10 ECTS of free choice studies. The professional traineeship is organised with local companies and municipalities.

The programme is for students with a background in engineering or natural sciences. Tampere University says graduates can also apply to doctoral programmes.
