About this program

The Bachelor’s Programme in Immersive Software Engineering and AI combines software engineering, artificial intelligence, mathematics, entrepreneurship and business, and Finnish language, society and culture. University of Jyväskylä says the programme links academic learning with projects and prepares students for software development.

The programme takes three years at bachelor’s level and includes two four-month internships in companies developing modern IT systems. The first internship comes after the first year. The bachelor’s thesis is completed during the second internship. Teaching is in English and uses contact teaching in small collaborative groups.

The University of Jyväskylä says graduates can continue to a Master’s degree within the faculty’s IT programmes.
