Industrial Engineering and Management, Bachelor of Science (Technology) and Master of Science (Technology) (3 yrs + 2 yrs), LUT University, Lahti

Industrial Engineering and Management at LUT University combines technology and business. The programme gives students knowledge of organisations, operations, personnel, industrial production processes, industrial production process development, inventive design and creativity, digital transformation for industrial services, corporate entrepreneurship and corporate venturing, business and innovation ecosystems, and data analytics in business marketing. It also builds understanding of digital transformation in industrial organisations and sustainability challenges from a business perspective.

The programme is taught in English and delivered through contact teaching. It leads first to a Bachelor of Science (Technology) over three academic years, followed by a Master of Science (Technology) over two academic years. After completing the bachelor’s degree, students can continue automatically to a related master’s programme without further application.

LUT University says the programme is designed to prepare graduates who can apply technical problem-solving skills to analyse and develop business operations in digitising industry environments. It also provides entrepreneurial know-how to start a business.
