International Design Business Management, Master of Science (Technology) (School of Science) (2yrs)

International Design Business Management is a Master of Science in Technology at Aalto University. The programme combines design, technology and global business development. It includes transdisciplinary teamwork and real-life business challenges from industry partners.

The degree is 120 ECTS credits and lasts two years. The structure includes IDBM major studies, engineering specialisation or minor studies, electives and a thesis. In the first year, master students from the Design, Science and Technology, and Business tracks study mostly the same compulsory IDBM major courses. One core course is the six-month Industry Project, where multi-disciplinary student teams work on real-life challenges provided by industry partners.

Aalto University says the programme is the only one offered in all six schools of Aalto. It leads to a Master’s degree in business, design or technology. The programme provides eligibility for doctoral studies.
