Laurea separate application, Master of Health Care (UAS)

Laurea University of Applied Sciences offers this separate application route for the Master of Health Care (UAS). It is intended for applicants who have interrupted earlier master’s studies in a Finnish higher education institution and want to complete the degree, or for Laurea pathway students who have completed master’s level studies at Laurea’s Open University of Applied Sciences.

The studies are taught in English. The planned duration is 1 years 5 months, but Laurea states that the length depends on the number of previously completed courses. Each student has a personal study plan (HOPS).

Laurea states that selection is based on academic performance. It also says that academic performance includes suitability for the field, language skills, attitude towards studies, and study skills.

• At least 55 credits in a Finnish higher education institution towards a specific education or degree programme leading to a Master's degree, with studies interrupted, and an aim to complete the degree. If the interrupted studies were completed at Laurea, at least one semester must have passed since the interruption.
• Or, for Laurea pathway students, at least 30 credits of Master's level studies at Laurea's Open University of Applied Sciences, registered in the study register before applying.
