Master of Business Administration, Data Engineering and AI

The Data Engineering and AI programme is a 90 ECTS Master of Business Administration at Turku University of Applied Sciences. It is designed for ICT professionals with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Technology and work experience who want to deepen their expertise in data management and artificial intelligence. The programme covers data collection, preparation and transformation for data-driven applications, as well as machine learning processes, algorithms and artificial intelligence.

The studies consist of common courses shared across Master-level programmes, advanced courses in the specialisation, optional studies and a 30 ECTS master’s thesis. The programme’s core themes are big data management and the development of AI-based solutions. The thesis is typically carried out as a work-related development project, and learning assignments are linked to the student’s professional tasks.

Turku University of Applied Sciences states that the programme is planned and implemented in collaboration with the world of work. Students can also use optional studies to build competence in business and project management, and some optional courses are available fully online.

• A higher education degree completed in Finland or abroad, or a Finnish post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma.
• At least 24 months of work experience in the field of ICT, counted from the date of award of the eligible final degree certificate and obtained no later than the end of the application semester.
