The Master of Engineering in Industrial Management and Engineering focuses on leadership, business development, change management, and the management of organisational processes and people. It also covers scientific methodology, data-driven decision-making, analytics, and artificial intelligence.
The programme is 60 ECTS credits and takes two years. Novia University of Applied Sciences says the studies are scheduled for two days a month, on Thursdays and Fridays, from August to June. Teaching is in English and uses distance teaching, contact teaching, and independent learning. The first year focuses on theory building, earlier research, models, teamwork, and collaboration. The second year focuses on the thesis work, which is a work-related development project.
Novia University of Applied Sciences describes the thesis as a research and development project carried out with a company or organisation. Parts of the studies take place outside the classroom in the region's business companies.
