Master of Engineering, Information Technology, Cloud-Based Software Engineering, VAMK

Cloud-Based Software Engineering is a Master of Engineering programme in Information Technology. It covers cloud computing and applications, including how to develop, deploy and maintain cloud applications. The programme also includes design and architecture of cloud-based applications, intelligent cloud applications, agile development methods and modern software architectures.

The degree is 60 ECTS credits and takes about one year for students with an engineering bachelor’s degree. Studies are organised as blended teaching with presence at campus required. The programme consists of core studies, profiling studies, optional studies and a master’s thesis. The thesis is 30 ECTS.

Vaasa University of Applied Sciences says the programme is especially suitable for people who want to advance towards more demanding international positions, combine work and studies in developing their company, or gain new perspectives by studying with other professionals.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering in Finland or equivalent degree completed outside Finland, or a higher education degree in the field of Engineering completed in Finland or in another European Union country.
• Work experience of 24 months after graduation.
