Master of Engineering, Quality Management

The Master's Degree Programme in Quality Management is part of Turku University of Applied Sciences' Master School. It focuses on planning, developing and managing quality system processes, continuous improvement, and creative problem solving for organisations in industry and other organisations.

The studies are organised as advanced professional studies, optional studies and thesis work. The advanced studies include research methods and future operating environments, and the programme covers quality management principles in industry, quality tools, lean principles and risk management. The master's thesis starts at the beginning of the studies and is carried out as a working life-oriented development project connected to the student's own work.

Turku UAS says the programme is strongly connected to working life and supports development for demanding expert and supervisor jobs. Optional studies can be chosen from other Turku UAS master's programmes or from master's programmes at other universities.

Applicants must have one of the following: a Bachelor's degree in technology from a university of applied sciences (Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Laboratory Services, Bachelor of Architecture, Bachelor of Construction Management); a technical university degree (for example, Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Science in Engineering, Master of Science in Architecture) completed in Finland or abroad; a post-secondary or higher vocational level diploma in engineering completed in Finland; or a post-secondary level diploma in architecture in Finland.

Applicants must also have at least 24 months of work experience in a relevant field, accumulated from the date of award of the eligible final degree certificate and obtained no later than the end of the application semester.
