Maritime Management is a 60 ECTS master's degree for sea captains and marine engineers. It focuses on an overall understanding of the maritime field. The studies cover management in general, maritime management, and the financial and logistical features of the maritime industry.
The programme is arranged as part-time studies and combines contact teaching, independent learning and online teaching. Students meet on average two days a month on site or online. The master's thesis is a 30 ECTS research and development project related to working life.
Novia University of Applied Sciences says the programme is for sea captains and marine engineers who want to deepen their managerial expertise in international marine shipping. The thesis is usually carried out in close connection with the professional maritime society, and elective studies are carried out in close connection with the professional maritime society during the second study year.
