The Master’s Programme in People Management and Organizational Development gives students expert knowledge and analytical, communication and teamworking skills for developing organisations successfully and sustainably. The programme covers people management, organisational development, leadership, human resource management, organisational behaviour, work psychology, strategy, sustainability, ethics, communication, project management, diversity and inclusion, and people analytics.
The two-year programme has 120 ECTS credits. It is organised into Programme Studies of 90 ECTS, including a 30 ECTS Master’s Thesis, and 30 ECTS of electives, minor studies or exchange. Teaching is in English and uses contact teaching. The programme is built around challenge- and project-based learning, with real-life cases, guest lectures, consultancy-type projects for organisations, and internships.
Aalto University says the programme is for applicants with undergraduate degrees in business and economics, industrial engineering and management, law, or social sciences who have a keen interest in people management and organisational development. It also offers a double degree option with the University of Queensland or the University of South Carolina and eligibility for doctoral studies.
