Software, Web & Cloud is a Master of Science specialisation in the Master’s Programme in Computing Sciences and Electrical Engineering at Tampere University. It gives students a solid understanding of computer science and software engineering, with study in the design and implementation of large and complex software systems, advanced web and cloud technologies, AI support for software development, and topics such as big data, Internet of Things, information security, user experience, and business.

The programme is 120 ECTS credits and takes two years. Students usually spend three semesters on courses and one semester on the Master’s thesis. Courses account for 90 ECTS credits and the thesis for 30 ECTS credits. The studies start in late August. Teaching is through contact teaching.

Tampere University says the programme combines academic and industry perspectives and covers the full lifecycle of software development. It is designed for applicants with a background in computer science or software engineering. Graduates are eligible to apply for admission to doctoral programmes in Finland or abroad.
