Statistical Data Analytics at Tampere University is a specialisation in the Master’s Programme in Computing Sciences and Electrical Engineering. It focuses on data cleansing, integration, modelling, prediction, interactive exploration, and the presentation of results. The programme covers probabilistic approaches, efficient data mining algorithms, deep learning with neural networks and large language models, and visualisation and reporting for decision-makers.

The Master’s Programme is 120 ECTS credits. Students complete 90 ECTS of courses and 30 ECTS for the master’s thesis. The programme normally takes two years. Students usually spend three semesters on courses and one semester on the thesis. Studies begin in late August, and the academic year ends in late May.

Tampere University says the specialisation educates experts in computational and statistical data analysis. The programme is one of 12 specialisations in the Master’s Programme in Computing Sciences and Electrical Engineering.
