The Nursing degree programme trains nursing professionals for health care services in Finland and other countries. It covers theoretical nursing studies, multidisciplinary studies, practical training and an academic thesis.

The studies emphasise intercultural communication and working in Finnish health care settings. Laurea University of Applied Sciences says the programme uses contact teaching on campus, simulation learning, practical skills training, some online theoretical studies and independent learning. The university also says the programme uses Learning by Developing and includes co-operation with local health care companies.

Graduates are prepared for work in health care services, including primary health care, specialised nursing units, the private health care sector, expert or consultant roles, non-profit organisations and international duties.
