Bachelor of Health Care, Physiotherapist

This Bachelor of Health Care in Physiotherapy is based on physiotherapy science. It covers movement and functional ability, supporting functioning, and preventing disability in people of various ages and levels of functioning. The programme develops physiotherapeutic examination and clinical reasoning, teaching and counselling, therapeutic competence, co-operation and social competence, and technological competence.

Students work through exercises, exams, written assignments, portfolios and projects. Some study is done in small groups. Part of the theoretical studies and clinical practice may be completed abroad.

Graduates may work in rehabilitation in the private and public sector and in other separately approved working environments. The course prepares students to assess and support movement and function for people of all ages.
