Bachelor of Health Care, Physiotherapy, Laurea UAS International Separate Application

The Bachelor of Health Care in Physiotherapy at Laurea University of Applied Sciences focuses on physiotherapy science and the role of a physiotherapist as a licensed health care professional and an expert in movement and functional ability. Students study the support of functioning and the prevention of disability in people of varied ages and different functioning. The programme develops physiotherapeutic examination and clinical reasoning, teaching and counselling, therapeutic competence, co-operation and social competence, and technological competence.

Laurea says course performances can include exercises, exams, written assignments, portfolios and projects. Studies are partly carried out in small groups, supporting group work and client and patient work. Students may complete part of the theoretical studies and clinical practice abroad.

Graduates may work in rehabilitation in the private and public sector and in other separately approved working environments.
