About this program

The programme covers the most critical challenges of the built environment. It prepares students to address energy transition, urbanisation, resource efficiency, climate change and digitalisation. Students learn to shape the built environment and to understand its links with buildings, mobility and water management.

The bachelor’s degree gives a foundation in mathematics and science, design, development and management in civil and construction engineering, and the societal aspects of the built environment. It includes laboratory work, modelling software, building information modelling, geospatial data and measurement techniques. LUT University describes the programme as preparing students to continue to the related master’s programme after the bachelor’s degree.

Graduates are prepared for development, design and management roles in civil and construction engineering.
