About this program

The Doctoral Programme in Sport and Health Sciences is a 3–4 year programme leading to a doctorate in Sport and Health Sciences, Health Sciences or Philosophy. It prepares doctoral researchers for work in human movement, health and well-being. The programme has two specialisations: Sport and Exercise Sciences and Health Sciences.

Study centres on the dissertation and 40 ECTS of postgraduate studies. The programme gives a methodological and theoretical foundation for scientific research. It is based in a multidisciplinary research environment that combines natural sciences, educational sciences, and humanities and social sciences. The faculty supports research with digital measurement and monitoring methods for laboratory and everyday environments.
