About this program

The Doctoral Programme in the Faculty of Health Sciences covers health, disease and wellbeing. It integrates molecular and biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, pharmacy and health sciences. The programme includes basic and applied research on major public health diseases, their risk factors, disease prevention, early detection and treatment.

Doctoral researchers work in an international and networked research community with support from experienced supervisors. A doctoral degree consists of a doctoral dissertation and 30 ECTS of doctoral studies. These include general transferable skills studies and studies in the discipline and field of research.

The programme aims to produce internationally oriented and competitive researchers and experts for demanding national and international positions.
