This Master of Engineering degree focuses on computing in construction. It covers data created in the real estate and construction industry and the use of modern computational methods and tools to process that data for higher quality, sustainability, productivity and security in construction.
The course also covers heterogeneous models of the built environment, including building information models, city models and infrastructure models, as well as sensor and condition data from building automation systems and IoT systems. Students use computational tools to query, process and manage data, and to develop and extend models and computational tools for construction tasks.
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences delivers the programme as daytime studies with contact teaching. The degree scope is 60 ECTS credits and the planned duration is one year.
