Metropolia University of Applied Sciences describes the Procurement master’s degree as a course in which you learn to analyse and develop the procurement function so it serves a company’s goals and strategies. The studies cover driving value through the supply chain, using technology as an enabler of supply management, sustainability, collaboration, and how to present the business case for procurement inside an organisation.
The programme is fully online and is taught in English. It is part-time and uses distance teaching and online teaching, with evening and weekend teaching. The thesis is a procurement-related development project for a company, typically the student’s place of work, and it combines development work with academic research.
Metropolia says the degree is designed for students who prefer distance learning or want to complete a master’s degree while working. The programme also includes an international multidisciplinary student group and an orientation day that can be attended on campus in Vantaa or online.
