Master's Degree Programme in Education and Learning, Master of Arts (Education),

The Master's Degree Programme in Education and Learning is a Master of Arts (Education) degree. It focuses on research on learning and on sociology of education. The programme studies education from micro and macro level perspectives, with emphasis on learning skills, life skills and literacy skills.

The degree takes 2 years and is taught through contact teaching in English. The studies include Orientation and General studies, Advanced Studies, and Elective or Minor Studies. Students also write a Master's thesis in Educational Science as part of the advanced studies.

University of Turku says the programme prepares students for tasks in education nationally and internationally. It also leads to further doctoral study in the Doctor of Philosophy (Education) programme at the University of Turku.
