Sustainable Entrepreneurship at Aalto University is a Master of Science in Economics and Business Administration that focuses on creating and managing businesses with environmental and social impact alongside financial success. The programme covers entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, social innovation, entrepreneurship law, sustainable venture growth, and entrepreneurial futures.
The degree is a two-year, 120 ECTS contact-teaching programme taught in English. It combines practical training and academic coursework through team projects, problem-based learning, interactive lectures, guest presentations, and case studies. Students complete programme studies, including the master’s thesis, and elective or minor studies. At the start of the degree, each student defines a Personal Study Plan with an academic advisor.
Two elective tracks are offered: sustainable startup and sustainable corporate entrepreneurship. The programme also supports study abroad, minor studies at an exchange partner, internships, and master’s thesis research abroad. Aalto University says the degree grants eligibility for doctoral studies.
