The Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Occupational Therapy at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences focuses on occupational therapy, health and wellbeing, and everyday life. Students study occupational therapy theory and practice, occupational science, human development and functional ability, health and rehabilitation, client-centred work, assessment and intervention methods, and professional ethics.

The programme is implemented as full-time blended studies. Teaching combines contact teaching on campus, real-time online learning, independent study, group work, and practical training in real work environments. Studies follow shared schedules and require active participation. Theory and practice alternate throughout the programme, and the Bachelor’s thesis is part of the studies.
