About this program

The Human-Computer Interaction and Design master’s programme is an interdisciplinary programme in which the User-Centred Design approach places users at the centre of the design process. It combines human aspects with technological and business aspects to create products and services with usability and user experience.

The programme is a double degree and takes two years. Students study at two universities in two different countries. The two-year programme has 120 ECTS credits: a 60 ECTS major, a 30 ECTS Innovation and Entrepreneurship minor, and a 30 ECTS master’s thesis. Aalto University offers HCID studies as both entry and exit studies. In the second year, students choose a specialisation option. Aalto University offers Cross-Device Interaction.

The programme qualifies for doctoral studies in an applicable field.
