About this program

Behavioural Design is a one-year Master of Culture and Arts degree at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. You study how to understand and shape human behaviour through evidence-based, human-centred design. The programme brings together psychology, behavioural economics, systems thinking and data analytics to address real-world challenges ethically and effectively.

The autumn semester builds foundations in behavioural science, systems thinking, quantitative methods and societal design. The spring semester is devoted to a project-based master’s thesis on a real-world behavioural challenge. You also choose 5 ECTS of electives to shape your study path.

Metropolia describes the thesis as a practical design project with critical reflection and says it can become a strong portfolio piece.
