The Master of Social Services and/or Health Care, Development and Management is a working life-oriented degree in social and health care. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences says the studies develop expertise in management, development, global trends and digital transformation in social and health care services. Elective studies can include project management, business thinking, diversity and equality.
The English-taught implementation lasts 2 years and uses blended teaching and online teaching. Contact lessons are generally held on Fridays and Saturdays every other week. The studies use multimodal online learning methods, include face-to-face teaching every other week, and place emphasis on independent work and learning assignments. The development project is an essential part of the studies.
The programme includes a thesis that is primarily a professional development project linked closely to working life. Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences says the degree supports career development in expert and management positions in social and health care. The institution also describes strong links with Finnish and international working life and international partner universities.
