Software Engineering and Information Systems (Business Analytics), Master of Science

The programme combines business and technology and focuses on digital data, analytics, information systems and their use in business, industrial and public organisations. Students study data acquisition and management, analytics theories and methods, simulation and optimisation, research data, responsible and sustainable business, and the ethics of data gathering, management and analysis.

The University of Oulu delivers the programme as a 2-year blended degree taught in English. It includes teamwork, project-based collaboration and an extensive Capstone project with external parties. The programme leads to three possible degrees or main subjects, chosen when applying.

It is designed to produce experts in analytics who can support decision making, operations and development work. The University of Oulu says the degree also forms one of the qualifications needed for doctoral studies.
