Turku University of Applied Sciences describes the Master’s Degree Programme in Planetary Wellbeing and Resilience as part of its Master School and School of Professional Excellence. The programme covers sustainable health promotion, global and planetary health, psychosocial support and preparedness, and research-based development competence. Students learn to use research and data in evidence-informed decision-making, and to plan, coordinate and evaluate health-promoting initiatives in multidisciplinary and international settings.
The degree is 90 ECTS credits and is designed to be completed in 1.5 years alongside work. Studies use contact teaching, online learning and independent study. The curriculum includes advanced professional studies, elective studies and a Master’s thesis. The thesis begins early in the programme and is written in English.
The programme is designed for experienced professionals. Turku University of Applied Sciences says graduates are prepared for demanding expert, development, coordination and project management roles in health promotion, planetary wellbeing and resilience.
