Digital Systems and Design, Bachelor and Master

The Digital Systems and Design major in Aalto University’s Bachelor’s Programme in Science and Technology covers networking, circuits, algorithmic learning, control and automation, embedded systems and optical communication. It also includes mathematics, programming, obligatory languages, Aalto studies and orientation in the basic programme studies.

The degree is organised as a 3+2 programme. The bachelor’s degree has 180 ECTS credits, including the major, a minor and elective studies. The major includes a bachelor’s thesis and seminar, and Aalto University says the studies include collaborative courses, workshops, team projects and a final hands-on project linked to the thesis.

Aalto University says the bachelor’s programme gives students the right to continue to selected master’s programmes at Aalto. The page lists career preparation for advanced studies and for roles in electrical engineering, automation engineering, electronics engineering and simulation engineering.
