The Master’s Programme in Engineering Physics gives students a strong grounding in physics and mathematics together with skills with practical applications. Aalto University says the programme is closely connected to research in the Department of Applied Physics and is aimed at students who want a career in research.
The degree is 120 ECTS credits and takes two years. It includes a long or compact major, a master’s thesis, elective studies and a possible minor. Students choose one of two majors at the start of the programme: Materials Physics and Quantum Technology or Advanced Energy Technologies. The curriculum includes research-linked courses and a Company Internship course.
The programme provides eligibility for scientific postgraduate studies in Finland.
