Re:Anima (Erasmus Mundus), Master of Arts (Art and Design)

Re:Anima is a two-year Master of Arts in Art and Design focused on animation. Aalto University describes it as an international programme that brings together artistic and technological dimensions, with study linked to narrative and non-narrative storytelling, expanded animation, experimental approaches, animated documentary, and a final individual graduation project.

The programme is a joint master’s degree offered by a consortium of three universities in Belgium, Finland and Portugal. Each semester has a specific focus: storytelling in the first semester, technology and expanded animation in the second, documentary approaches and an entrepreneurial mindset in the third, and the final project and written report in the fourth. Students also attend a summer school in Lapland with workshops, master classes and industry contact at the MidnightSun Film Festival.

Aalto University says the programme qualifies for doctoral studies in an applicable field.
